Steve's Case in Review

In Steve’s case, Dr. Seidman decided to do a full-mouth reconstruction to improve his bite and restore his entire smile. In this clip, MAC technician Rocksand Grogan discusses Steve's case in more detail.

ROCKSAND GROGAN: Each preparation is different depending upon what the patient’s needs are. Steve’s case was definitely a unique case. We did full-mouth reconstruction on it. He had severe wear which we went ahead and corrected. We opened up his bite a little bit and then restored his entire smile. We started off with a diagnostic wax up We fabricated the wax up for the full-mouth case. Doctor went ahead then and prepped Steve. Sent me back over the impressions, along with the facebow, stick bite; all of the good information as far as the smile design, the shade, everything needed to be successful in the case. We also changed his vertical as well as his mid-line and shifted everything about this case to correct his alignment. Then we went ahead. We waxed up the case. You pressed the case. Seated everything, ground it all down, cut it back, put on the beautiful translucency, went ahead and did the final grinding on it, and then stained a finish. Then I went ahead and sent it over to the doctor, and put it in and he has a new beautiful smile.
