STEVE SCHADT: The first step of this process of placing porcelain veneers is to prep the teeth by removing an extremely thin layer of enamel from the teeth. This makes room for a new layer of custom porcelain that’s going to be bonded right onto my tooth. As part of the prep process, Dr. Seidman took impressions and created a set of temporaries for me to wear while my porcelain veneers were being crafted in the lab. Since my case involved full-mouth restoration, the prep took about five hours.
