Can I do Just a Few Teeth?

Description

In this clip, Steve is wondering if he can get veneers only for his front teeth instead of getting both front and back teeth. The answer is “yes.” It always ultimately boils down to what the patient wants. But Dr. Seidman also explains the benefits of treating both the front and back teeth.

STEVE SCHADT: Is there anyway I can just do the top six or the top eight teeth on the front? DR. SHELDON SEIDMAN: Yes, there is. You know, anytime you get into cosmetic dentistry, you’re talking complete elective dentistry. The problem with doing that is that you have functional issues in the back and that if you want me to kind of cover them a little bit and stand behind them, then I have to take care of those functional issues as opposed to just doing the front teeth. And the front teeth, I mean if you’re going to look at doing the front teeth, you’re still looking at about $13,000 or so just to do the esthetic version of those teeth. You haven’t addressed the bottom ones. You haven’t addressed the function, but the answer is yes, we can do that. It just depends on what you want to do.
