Oral Cancer Screenings
Since oral cancer can lead to life-threatening health risks, early detection is essential to develop a treatment plan that can eradicate it. Dr. Seidman and his team can provide you with a comprehensive oral cancer screening during your dental exam to identify any irregularities that may prove to be cancerous or pre-cancerous growths at the earliest stages. We use state-of-the-art VELscope technology to detect any warning signs of oral cancer. It is very important to have regular oral cancer screenings and to periodically examine the inside of your mouth for any abnormalities.
Hygiene Visits

OraVerse®
Many patients experience lingering effects of local anesthesia after a procedure that can sometimes last for hours. We offer OraVerse® to reduce the effects of numbness after a procedure, helping you chew and speak more comfortably in about half the time it typically takes. Dr. Seidman can inject OraVerse® immediately after your treatment when you are still numb from the anesthetic to minimize any discomfort.
Fluoride Treatments
At Smile Chicago, we offer complimentary fluoride treatments as a quick and easy way to help decrease the risk of developing cavities and tooth decay. Fluoride rinses at our practice can provide significant protection against bacteria along your teeth and gums. Infection Control

To facilitate a sterilized and clean treatment process, we assure that every non-disposable dental instrument is properly cleaned and disinfected after each use. We use disposable instruments whenever we can for further protection. We sterilize all exposed counters and equipment in our treatment rooms and thoroughly disinfect all surfaces. We also meticulously wash our hands before and after treatments and use sterile gloves for each patient. Your safety and protection is our top concern.

Conservative Periodontal Care
Scaling and root planing is a periodontal treatment that can prevent gum disease from getting worse and improve the overall health of your gums. This non-surgical procedure removes pockets of tartar and bacteria located deep within the gums and around the roots of the teeth. Once the procedure is complete, Dr. Seidman uses a Diode Laser to seal the gums for faster healing time and minimized discomfort after treatment.
